Assistant Director of Care in Summerland

Location: Summerland

Lead resident care at Summerland Seniors Village as our next Assistant Director of Care. Engage with your team, promote individualized care, and maintain professional relationships to enhance our community.

As a full-time temporary Assistant Director of Care, you'll report directly to the Director of Care.

Your role involves mentoring care staff, ensuring all residents receive focused, individualized attention. Additionally, you'll assume nursing responsibilities during staffing shortages and actively participate in quality improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

• Direct and supervise care provided to residents

• Conduct audits and implement corrective actions

• Communicate effectively with physicians and families

• Lead monthly meetings with care staff

• Participate in Occupational Health & Safety meetings

Requirements:

• Current RN or LPN registration with BCCNM

• Degree in nursing and leadership experience

• Minimum three years in management or geriatrics

• Proficient in English, spoken and written

• Strong interpersonal and time management skills
