As a Public Health Nurse within Interior Health, your role includes delivering nursing services founded on the Population Health/Health Promotion model. You will engage with individuals and families through various initiatives, offering healthcare education and advocacy to support healthier lifestyles within the community.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide nursing services aligned with health promotion principles
• Implement programs targeting community health needs
• Conduct outreach in schools, homes, and community centers
• Advocate for health-enhancing behaviors among populations
• Collaborate on initiatives promoting disease prevention
Requirements:
• A valid BC Driver’s License is necessary
• Skills in community development and epidemiology
• Experience with social determinants of health and illness
• Motivated to work casually with flexible schedules
• Casual hours range from 0-37.5 per week based on demand
