As a part-time LPN at Kelowna General Hospital, you will assess patient conditions and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team in providing orthopaedic care. Your responsibilities will include reviewing diagnostic images and handling casts and splints. This role adheres to the competency guidelines set by BCCNM, ensuring safe and effective nursing practices.
Key Responsibilities:
• Perform patient assessments and personalized nursing care
• Collaborate with physicians and nursing staff on care plans
• Apply and manage casts and traction for patients
• Review x-rays to support treatment decisions
• Follow BCCNM standards and hospital policies
Requirements:
• Graduation from a recognized practical nursing program
• Post-basic education in Orthopaedics preferred
• Current registration with BCCNM required
• Part-time availability for rotating shifts
• Motivated and adaptable individual
