Experienced Cardiac Nurse

Interior Health is seeking an experienced Cardiac Services Nurse for the Cardiac Intensive Care Unit at the Kelowna General Hospital in British Columbia. Leverage your Critical Care expertise to make a difference in cardiac patient outcomes.

In this relief full-time role, you will engage with critically ill patients and their families, ensuring exceptional client-centered care within a collaborative team. Your background in advanced cardiac nursing will be essential in navigating patient assessments, care plans, and implementation while fostering an environment of support and learning.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct thorough assessments and care planning for cardiac patients

• Deliver quality patient care in collaboration with healthcare teams

• Adjust care strategies based on patient health changes

• Base nursing practice on evidence and specialized knowledge

• Work rotating shifts, including days and nights

Requirements:

• Graduated from an accredited nursing program

• Registered with the BCCNM

• One year of recent critical care experience in relevant settings

• BCLS certification obtained within three years

• Completion of KGH Cardiac Course or equivalent
