As an Infection Control Practitioner, you'll utilize your recent acute care experience to combat healthcare-associated infections. Your responsibilities include outbreak management and risk assessments, alongside consulting and mentoring healthcare staff. Working under the IPAC Manager, you will develop and assess infection control protocols, ensuring they align with safety standards.
Key Responsibilities:
• Promote safe environments for clients and staff
• Assist in monitoring infection control measures
• Develop infection control education for all staff
• Implement quality improvement initiatives
• Evaluate infection prevention practices regularly
Requirements:
• Current Registered Nurse certification
• Relevant experience in acute or long-term care
• Proven skills in infection control processes
• Enrollment or completion of IPAC Canada course
• Focus on client-centered care and safety
