Interior Health is looking for a skilled Registered Nurse to join their Oncology unit at Kelowna General Hospital as part of a relief team. This part-time role emphasizes leadership in care planning, patient involvement, and coordination with multi-disciplinary teams. Successful nurses will need a strong foundation in Oncology nursing practices and excellent communication skills.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide clinical expertise in developing care plans
• Engage clients and families in care decision-making
• Establish and maintain therapeutic patient relationships
• Plan and initiate referrals to community services
• Collaborate during rounds for comprehensive care planning
Requirements:
• Graduation from an approved nursing program
• Current registration from BCCNM
• Completion of a post-basic Oncology program
• Two years of recent related experience required
• Certification for administering chemotherapeutic agents
