This position seeks a reliable and motivated Public Health Registered Nurse to contribute to the health and well-being of individuals and families in Kelowna, BC. The ideal candidate will utilize their nursing skills within a community-focused framework and provide essential nursing services in various outreach locations.
Your role will involve health promotion, epidemiology knowledge, and collaboration with community resources to foster better health outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide nursing services based on the Population Health model
• Implement health promotion programs for diverse populations
• Conduct outreach in communities, schools, and homes
• Advocate for health-enhancing behaviors and interventions
• Collaborate with community groups for health development
Requirements:
• Graduation from an accredited Nursing program
• Current registration with the BCCNM
• Six months of relevant public health nursing experience
• Valid BC Driver’s License and transportation arrangements
• Knowledge of social determinants affecting health
