Provide geriatric nursing care as a casual Registered Nurse at Age Care Brandt's Creek Mews in Kelowna, British Columbia. Coordinate services and promote resident safety.
The Registered Nurse collaborates with the Director of Care to meet individual resident needs within competency. This position delivers safe, ethical professional nursing services. It supports Age Care values of respect, teamwork, quality, resident safety, and freedom from harm. Knowledge of long-term care nursing is central.
Key Responsibilities:- Coordinate nursing and other resident services
- Lead shift reports with the health care team
- Communicate changes in resident condition
- Maintain documentation according to policies and standards
- Process physician orders promptly and report difficulties
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing
- Registration and good standing with the provincial registry
- Knowledge of geriatric, rehabilitation, or long-term care nursing
- Knowledge of relevant nursing home legislation and regulations
- Understanding of activation, nursing, and personnel administration
