Mental Health Clinical Nurse Specialist

Advance mental health and substance use nursing practice with Interior Health as a permanent part-time Clinical Nurse Specialist. Worksite location is flexible within the Interior Health region.

This advanced practice nursing position provides clinical leadership in mental health services. You will support evidence-informed practice, quality improvement, research, education, and expert consultation. The CNS works independently and collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams to improve client, population, and health system outcomes.

• Conduct comprehensive assessments using advanced nursing knowledge and skills
• Develop and evaluate care plans for complex clinical situations
• Lead standards, education, quality, research, and system change initiatives
• Provide consultation, mentorship, coaching, and interdisciplinary collaboration
• Integrate evidence into practice and evaluate client outcomes

• Advanced practice nursing expertise in the specialty area
• Ability to apply critical thinking and clinical judgment
• Experience with research, education, consultation, and collaboration
• Ability to lead evidence-informed practice and quality improvement
