API Level 2 Inspector - Turnaround Project

SGS is hiring an API Level 2 Inspector for a turnaround in Fort McMurray. This one-month contract requires working 12-hour shifts on a 6 on/1 off schedule in a camp setup.

Ideal candidates will hold API 510, API 570, or CWB Level 2 certification and have substantial inspection experience in shutdowns or site work. Familiarity with the oil and gas industry, along with skills in examining welds on pipelines and other critical equipment, is essential.

Key Responsibilities:

• Inspect and assess weld quality on various components

• Engage in quality assurance procedures on site

• Provide detailed inspection reports and analysis

• Ensure compliance with welding standards

• Work closely with teams to enhance inspection outcomes

Requirements:

• Valid API 510, API 570, or CWB Level 2 certification

• Several years of relevant inspection experience

• Background in oil and gas or heavy industrial contexts

• Independent contractor status is required

• Eligible to work in Canada
