Exciting Opportunity:
Quality Control Technician I

Are you detail-oriented and ready to play a key role in maintaining product safety and compliance? We’re looking for a Quality Control Technician I (QC Tech I) to join our team and help ensure adherence to Good Documentation Practices (GDP), Good Production Practices (GPP), and Health Canada regulations. In this role, you'll perform in-process checks, review documentation, approve room and equipment releases, and support product sampling.

If you have a background in science or cannabis, strong analytical skills, and a sharp eye for detail, this could be the perfect opportunity for you. Please note that this is not a laboratory-based role. The position involves collecting samples for external laboratory testing; no in-house lab work is performed.

Shift pattern:
Afternoon Shift

• Performing surface, equipment, and environmental swabbing to verify cleanliness and compliance
• Reviewing and approving cleaning records, room activity logs, and scale verifications
• Approving room and equipment releases prior to use
• Monitoring in-process controls and responding to deviations
• Sampling raw cannabis, packaging labels, and finished products
• Inspecting documentation to ensure adherence to GDP
• Applying status labels (e.g., Approved, Quarantine, Release)
• Supporting the Quality Manager with additional tasks as needed

• 1+ year of experience in a scientific or cannabis-related field
• Familiarity with safe food handling (HACCP experience is a strong asset)
• Strong attention to detail and analytical thinking
• Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and Outlook
• Excellent time management, multitasking, and communication skills

Rate Of Pay 22.5 CAD Hourly
