Join WSP as an Archaeology Field Director and shape heritage projects across British Columbia. Lead teams while collaborating with Indigenous communities and enhancing your professional skills.
This influential role in WSP's Heritage team offers a chance to oversee various archaeological projects. You will work closely with multidisciplinary teams to ensure technical standards are met while fostering partnership with Indigenous groups. Candidates should be nearing their Field Director qualifications in the Interior Plateau area.
Key Responsibilities:
• Manage archaeological fieldwork, including surveys and excavations
• Work with project teams to meet client and regulatory expectations
• Collaborate with Indigenous communities respectfully
• Mentor junior staff through project phases
• Maintain project documentation and safety standards
Requirements:
• Field Director qualification or strong supervisory experience
• Commitment to engaging with diverse communities
• Proficient in recording archaeological sites
• Skilled in GPS data collection and office software
• Valid driver’s license (Class
5) necessary
