Position: Used Gear Repair Specialist at MEC
Transform outdoor gear sustainability with MEC as a Used Gear Repair Specialist. Your expertise in textile repairs and product knowledge will enhance member experiences through quality service and informed decisions.

In this full-time role, you’ll engage directly with members, helping them assess and repair their second-hand outdoor gear. Utilize your hands-on sewing skills to perform repairs, maintain inventory accuracy, and ensure a welcoming environment. With a focus on reducing waste and enhancing accessibility, you will support daily operations and create a positive impact within the MEC community.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist members with gear repair inquiries and selections

• Evaluate gear conditions and identify repair needs

• Perform textile repairs including patching and zipper replacements

• Maintain organized intake and sales floor areas

• Guide customers with trusted advice on gear performance

Requirements:

• Demonstrated sewing and textile repair skills

• Passion for the outdoors and gear sustainability

• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds

• Strong attention to detail and quality

• Previous retail or repair experience preferred
