Join Interior Health as a casual Dispatcher in Kelowna's Protection Services Operations Centre. Utilize your communication skills and Basic Security Training to manage emergency and non-emergency calls efficiently.
As a casual Dispatcher, you will be crucial in maintaining communication between field activities and the Protection Services Operations Centre Coordinator. Your primary responsibilities include managing calls, dispatching services, and tracking activity. With the ability to prioritize urgent requests and operate various communication systems, you will support a safe environment for clients of Interior Health Authority and Northern Health.
Key Responsibilities:
• Operate VOIP telephone switchboard and computer terminal
• Receive, record, and prioritize emergency calls
• Maintain call logs and activity reports
• Monitor security and life safety systems
• Communicate effectively using tactical communication
Requirements:
• Grade 12 education with 1 year of related experience
• Basic Security Training Certificate required
• Typing Test Certificate at 45 w.p.m.
• Ability to handle multiple communication systems
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
Facilitate critical connections as a Dispatcher, supporting safety and effective response in Kelowna.
