Position: Cell Guard Role Jail
Join Commissionaires BC as a Cell Guard at the Kelowna Jail in British Columbia. This casual on-call role focuses on ensuring the security and well-being of inmates with a pay of $25.22/hour.

As a Cell Guard, you will monitor detainees closely, support RCMP members in searches, and maintain detailed logs of prisoner activity. Candidates should possess excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to meet physical demands, as well as pass a thorough security clearance process that may take up to six months.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct regular checks on prisoner safety and behavior

• Assist during prisoner searches under RCMP supervision

• Keep accurate records in activity logbooks

• Ensure cleanliness in cell areas and coordinate assistance

• Safeguard all cellblock keys and personal effects

Requirements:

• Minimum age of 19 and residency in Canada for over 5 years

• Must have a Valid Basic First Aid Certificate

• RCMP Reliability Clearance is essential

• Basic level of computer proficiency

• Ability to maintain control under strained situations
