BGC Okanagan is hiring a Youth Support Worker in Kelowna, BC, to enable youth to thrive in a supportive environment. Lead activities that encourage personal growth and community engagement.

As a Youth Worker at the Downtown Youth Centre, you will be responsible for developing programs that foster self-esteem and independence in youth. This position involves working closely with youth and their families, providing essential support during challenging times while ensuring a safe and welcoming space.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and evaluate activities tailored for youth

• Supervise and maintain safety protocols during sessions

• Guide youth in decision-making and problem-solving

• Foster community engagement and participation

• Create and implement virtual programming initiatives

Requirements:

• Relevant diploma or experience in social services

• Current First Aid Certification or willingness to pursue

• Successfully pass a Criminal Record Check

• Availability for casual hours, Monday to Friday

• Legally authorized to work in Canada
