In this pivotal role, you will engage with youth in navigating resources and support systems, fostering an inclusive environment. Your experience will empower young people, guiding them through daily challenges and connecting them with essential community services. You will work collaboratively with care teams to promote mental health recovery and independence.
Key Responsibilities:
• Create a welcoming space for youth both physically and emotionally
• Guide and mentor youth in service navigation
• Support daily living skills and time management
• Advocate for youth during community appointments
• Collaborate on recreational and social activities for youth
Requirements:
• Grade 12 education or equivalent
• Lived experience in overcoming life challenges
• Criminal Record Check clearance required
• Ability to engage youth in community settings
• Knowledge of mental health and substance use services
