Temporary Child and Youth Counsellor

Thrive in a fulfilling counselling role at BGC Okanagan as a Child, Youth, and Adult Counsellor available in Penticton, BC. This full-time position supports families through crisis intervention and customized service planning.

In this temporary three-month role with the Integrated Family Development Program, you will utilize therapeutic techniques to foster skill development and monitor client progress. Collaborating closely with families and other professionals ensures effective support and resource referrals. Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct client assessments through comprehensive information gathering

• Formulate and execute individual counselling strategies

• Offer practical skill-building sessions in various areas

• Provide case management and facilitate referrals

• Track client advancements and report outcomes

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in relevant human services

• At least two years of related experience or equivalent

• Valid Class 5 driver’s licence

• Completion of criminal record check is mandatory

• Union membership needed upon hiring
