Compassionate Youth Worker

As a Residential Youth Worker, your role primarily focuses on providing compassionate care in a short-term stabilization home. You will work closely with mental health professionals to facilitate socially appropriate behaviours and provide crisis intervention. This role includes ensuring clients' physical and emotional needs are met while promoting a stable environment.
Key Responsibilities:
• Assess client needs alongside mental health clinicians
• Teach appropriate social skills through daily activities
• Monitor and ensure resident safety and wellbeing
• Provide behaviour management and emotional support
• Maintain records of residents’ daily activities
Requirements:
• Diploma in a human or social service field
• Two years of relevant experience required
• Class 5 driver’s licence needed
• Successful completion of agency screening process
• Ability to work flexible hours, including on-call
