Position: Part-Time Counsellor for Families
Location: Oliver

Support family dynamics as a part-time Child, Youth, and Adult Counsellor with BGC Okanagan in Oliver, BC. Enhance community well-being through skills development and crisis intervention.

In this essential role, you will provide direct support to caregivers and families, collaborating to improve their functioning and access resources. Your expertise in advocacy and individualized service planning will empower young people and their families. You’ll utilize various therapeutic approaches to deliver effective counselling and skill-building strategies.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collect and analyze client information through various assessment methods

• Develop and implement therapeutic counselling plans

• Provide skill-building in parenting and self-regulation

• Manage cases and consult with other service providers

• Monitor client progress and adjust plans as necessary

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in human or social services

• Two years of relevant experience

• Valid Class 5 BC Driver’s licence

• Successful completion of a Criminal Record Check

• Reliable vehicle with appropriate insurance
