Become an Outreach Worker with Kelowna’s Gospel Mission and help transform lives.
Your role will focus on advocating for unsheltered individuals and connecting them to necessary support.
This full-time opportunity requires a compassionate approach to helping marginalized populations. As an Outreach Worker, you'll face the challenge of aiding clients in crisis and liaising with various service agencies.
Your role will contribute significantly to improving community wellbeing and housing stability.
Key Responsibilities:
• Plan outreach efforts for the unsheltered population
• Train and oversee practicum students and volunteers
• Manage and execute Outreach van route schedules
• Collaborate effectively with community service stakeholders
• Keep outreach client records in a secure database
Requirements:
• 3 months of frontline experience with social issues
• Minimum High School Diploma
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
• Valid Class 5 driver's license with a clean record
• Ability to lift 50 pounds regularly
