Frontline Support Worker in West

Become a key support figure at KWS as a Frontline Support Worker in West Kelowna. This role involves advocating for those impacted by domestic abuse while providing essential services and support.

As a Frontline Support Worker, you'll deliver security and advocacy to individuals at risk or fleeing domestic abuse. You will provide education, crisis intervention, housing support, and guidance. Participate actively in safeguarding a safe environment, develop action plans, and assist individuals in accessing community resources.

Key Responsibilities:

• Answer incoming calls and assess crisis situations

• Admit and orient program participants and their children

• Facilitate resolution of conflicts among residents

• Maintain case notes and documentation for reporting

• Arrange transportation to outside appointments

Requirements:

• Diploma in human/social service field

• One year related experience or equivalent

• Strong knowledge of domestic abuse resources

• Ability to provide empathy-driven support

• Suitable Criminal Records Check required
