Join Fairhaven in Penticton as a Tenant Support Worker, providing vital support to improve participants' quality of life.
Your role focuses on encouraging independence and offering life skills education.
In this full-time position, you will work collaboratively to assist individuals with mental health concerns and substance use challenges. You will play an active role in goal setting and assessment, ensuring a safe and supportive environment for participants. This dynamic role includes performing wellness checks and engaging community resources to enhance service delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
• Support participants in achieving independence and wellness
• Engage in regular wellness and room checks
• Provide crisis intervention and document incidents
• Involve participants in decisions affecting their lives
• Maintain accurate communication and case notes
Requirements:
• Diploma in Human Services or comparable certificate
• Excellent documentation and interpersonal skills
• Experience in managing difficult behaviors
• Ability to work in a multi-agency environment
• Certification in Occupational First Aid Level 1 required
