CMHA Kelowna & District is seeking a dedicated individual for its Bright Mindz Program, working 16 hours each weekend. The Youth Supportive Housing Worker collaborates with a multidisciplinary team to develop personalized support plans, assisting youth with life skills, health referrals, and community resources.
Your role is crucial in promoting housing stability and empowering participants for a better future.
Key Responsibilities:
• Foster relationships with housing and social service professionals
• Implement individualized support plans for housing stability
• Provide life skills training on cooking and housekeeping
• Advocate for clients with income support agencies
• Ensure client safety during challenging situations
Requirements:
• Minimum Grade 12 education or equivalent
• Criminal Records Check Clearance required
• Experience with youth in crisis preferred
• Effective communication and conflict resolution skills
• Understanding of trauma-informed care principles
