Job Summary:

As part of our continued mission to help golfers improve across Canada, GOLFTEC is hiring to meet ongoing demand. You will accelerate your coaching career via GOLFTEC's industry-leading professional development, seasonal web-based training, frequent peer interactions with coaches near and far, and having a singular focus on coaching in your workday. Our rapid growth, especially in Canada, provides excellent advancement opportunities for the career minded individual.

Responsibilities
  • PGA of Canada member in good standing with a strong passion for teaching (preferred not required)
  • Use professional expertise to recommend teaching and learning content and create custom lesson plans for students of varying skill levels
  • Recommend appropriate GOLFTEC services for each student, including TECFIT Club Fitting, outdoor playing lessons, short game lessons, etc.
  • Document each lesson given and publish recaps to our online portal using GOLFTEC’s proprietary teaching software
  • Maintain GOLFTEC Training Center, equipment, and technology
  • Participate in continuing education to enhance skills
  • Participate in marketing and promotional activities as requested
  • Mobility is an essential function of this career. Coaches generally need physical capabilities to stand, bend, kneel or crouch for sometimes extended periods and lift items weighing more than 30 pounds
Qualifications
  • PGA of Canada member in good standing with a strong passion for teaching (preferred not required)
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills and communication skills
  • Mobility is an essential function of this career. Coaches generally need physical capabilities to stand, bend, kneel or crouch for sometimes extended periods and lift items weighing more than 30 pounds
Compensation

$55,000 - $75,000

GOLFTEC Coaches work together as a team and are incentivized by the Center’s performance as well as individual performance. GOLFTEC Coaches are paid a competitive base rate along with commissions, bonus opportunities, and other performance-based components.

In 2024 the average Total Compensation for a GOLFTEC Coach that worked the full year was $64,250. Base compensation is in the form of a bi-monthly salary, and is specific to location, and experience. Base compensation on average is 63% of Total Compensation. Monthly commissions, bonus opportunities, and other performance-based compensation components account for 37% of Total Compensation and are based on the Center’s performance as well as individual performance.
