This is a temporary forklift operator role located in Kelowna. The position requires reliable transportation and excellent handling of sit‑down forklifts in a fast‑paced environment with tight corners. The role is full‑time.
Schedule
Monday – Friday, 4:00 pm – 8:00 pm
Sunday, 8‑hour shift
Compensation
Wage $24 per hour.
Responsibilities
Operating a sit‑down forklift in a fast‑paced environment with tight corners.
Lifting 50‑75 lbs as required (25% of the day is lifting, 75% operating forklift).
Working independently and in a team.
Loading and unloading materials on the dock.
Moving and handling large and cumbersome freight in a dock environment.
Ensuring compliance with TDG, WHMIS, company policies and procedures, and customer‑specific requirements.
Organizing and directing inbound and outbound freight to city and line‑haul trailers.
Qualifications
Minimum 1–2 years of forklift experience.
Must complete online safety training that includes Transportation of Dangerous Goods.
Steel‑toed safety shoes and reflective vest required.
Two supervisory references.
Must have reliable transportation (not reliant on bus route).
