Kelowna Air Traffic Control Position

Lead air traffic operations at NAV CANADA's Kelowna Tower as an Air Traffic Controller. You'll ensure the safe separation of aircraft during takeoffs and landings.

This role calls for individuals with a minimum of three years’ air traffic control experience in complex environments. The ideal candidate will effectively interact with pilots, utilizing both radar and communication skills. The position includes responsibilities for emergency response and coordination with other air traffic control centers.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assess and plan traffic flow on the radar

• Issue necessary clearances and update pilots

• Collect and manage data related to flights

• Operate and monitor radar and communication equipment

• Engage in emergency management as required

Requirements:

• Minimum of 3 years as a licensed Air Traffic Controller

• Successful completion of an Air Traffic Controller training program

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

• Proficient in English both spoken and written

• Effective handling of security and medical requirements
