3.5 Tonne Driver – Kelso, Scottish Borders
People Solutions are currently recruiting for a  3.5 Tonne Driver  based in  Kelso, Scottish Borders .
This is a fantastic opportunity offering  ongoing work , and genuine potential for  progression .
This role would suit applicants that have worked in a role of  Delivery Driver, Van Driver  or  Courier.
You must undergo a  DS/DBS check  for this role.

Shifts:

Monday to Friday
Start times between  05:00 and 06:00
Rates of Pay:  £12.71 per hour

Day-to-Day Duties:
Your duties as a 3.5 Tonne Driver will include:
Multi-drop deliveries (approximately  20–25 drops per day )
Loading and unloading boxes and packages
Loading the vehicle for the following day's routes
Ensuring all loads are safe and secure
Completing vehicle inspections and reporting faults
Operating a  3.5 tonne refrigerated van  safely and efficiently
Maintaining accurate delivery records and paperwork
Communicating effectively with staff at delivery locations
Adhering to  food hygiene regulations
Monitoring and maintaining correct refrigeration temperatures
Essential

Skills:

The skills required to be a 3.5 Tonne Driver are:
Previous multi-drop experience (preferred)
Valid UK  Category B licence , held for at least  two years  (some points considered)
Strong knowledge of vehicle operation and driving regulations
Good written and verbal communication skills
Ability to identify and report vehicle safety issues
Good knowledge of road networks and navigation tools
Ability to work to tight deadlines and use own initiative
Must undergo a  DS/DBS check  (good repute required)
Desirable

Experience:

Experience driving commercial vehicles
Basic food hygiene knowledge (training provided)
Training:
Internal food hygiene training
Vehicle maintenance and safety training
Compliance and regulatory training
