We are seeking a dedicated and skilled experienced Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental clinic team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing exceptional patient care and ensuring the smooth operation of our dental practice. As a Dental Assistant, you will assist dentists during procedures, manage patient records, and maintain a sterile environment while adhering to all safety protocols.
Responsibilities- Assist dentists during examinations and procedures, ensuring all necessary tools and materials are ready for use.
- Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments and ensuring compliance with aseptic techniques.
- Manage patient records and medical documentation, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA regulations.
- Take and record vital signs of patients as needed.
- Utilize medical terminology effectively to communicate with patients and staff regarding treatment plans and procedures.
- Operate 3D scanners for imaging when required, contributing to advanced diagnostic processes.
- Provide support in pediatric dentistry, ensuring a comfortable experience for young patients.
- Maintain inventory of dental supplies and equipment, placing orders as necessary to ensure availability.
- Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post‑treatment care instructions.
- Previous experience as a Dental Assistant is mandatory. Must have RDA.
- Familiarity with dental clinic operations and systems is advantageous.
- Knowledge of medical terminology related to dentistry is essential.
- Experience with electronic health record systems such as Epic is a plus.
- Strong understanding of aseptic techniques to maintain a safe working environment.
- Ability to work effectively in a team‑oriented setting while providing compassionate care to patients.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact with patients and staff efficiently.
- Must be detail‑oriented with strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Bilingual is a plus.
