Responsibilities- Provide clear, supportive education to patients before and after their CT or X‑ray exam, ensuring they understand the process and feel safe.
- Independently conduct a wide variety of diagnostic CT and X‑ray studies using approved protocols and advanced equipment.
- Apply the ALARA principle to maintain the lowest necessary radiation dose for every patient and yourself, including pregnancy screening when required.
- Integrate patients’ prior imaging, lab work, and medical history to select and perform the most accurate exam.
- Consult virtually with the interpreting provider when complex questions or patient care concerns arise.
- Collect and document all necessary patient history and order information precisely; operate CT and X‑ray consoles for data acquisition and image documentation.
- Education
:
Graduate of an accredited school of radiologic technology (required). - Experience
:
Minimum of 1 year of previous experience (preferred). Demonstrated knowledge of age‑specific principles, venipuncture competency, and PACS/RIS knowledge (required). Experience with EPIC RIS, FUJI, and Intelli Space PACS (preferred). - Credentials
:- ARRT – Radiography (required).
- Radiology technologist licensure in Washington State (required upon hire).
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (required upon hire).
- ARRT‑CT certification (required within 6 months of hire).
$41.03 – $61.55 per hour, hiring rate dependent on experience, education, and other factors.
