All About On DemandYou can work as much or as little as you like as an On-Demand Team Member (TM) and your schedule may vary depending on shift availability and store needs. This role is ideal for those that are looking for a personalized work schedule.
As an On-Demand TM, you will not be included on the posted weekly schedule, but will have the opportunity to create your own schedule by picking up shifts posted by leaders or other team members (via our myTime mobile scheduling app). When you choose to pick up a shift, reliable and prompt attendance is necessary. You must engage by picking up and working shifts at least once every 4 weeks (minimum of four hours) unless flex schedule is granted in certain circumstances.
If you do not respond to our contact attempts or work at least one shift within 5 months, employment may be terminated. Attendance and responsiveness are critical to success in this role. After a offer, you are required to attend a Target Welcome orientation and commit to a short-term structured training schedule. The myTime app is used to pick up shifts thereafter.

Guest experience advocates who welcome, thank, and exceed guest service expectations by focusing on guest interaction, loyalty enrollment and store cleanliness. Knowledge of in-store and digital services and solutions that drive adoption, usage and guest loyalty. Ability to help guests quickly through check lanes, guest services, gift registry, pick-up and drive up while ensuring quality.

Typical responsibilities include:
- Deliver the service standard and create a welcoming experience
- Assist guests to solve specific needs
- Be knowledgeable about tools, products, and services to resolve issues
- Thank guests for shopping at Target
- Scan and bag items efficiently, in compliance with safety standards
- Minimize guest wait time while maintaining service and accuracy
- Inform guests about brand launches, store activities and events
- Explain Target Loyalty benefits and assist with enrollment; direct guests to fulfillment services as needed
- Demonstrate how to use Wallet and Target App features
- Handle returns following policies; escalate with leaders as needed
- De-escalate situations and recover the guest shopping experience
- Provide easy and accurate service for Order Pick Up, Drive Up, and Registry guests
- Maintain a clean, organized work area; stock supplies during store hours
- Uphold safety, ethics, and compliance; report hazards
- Support guest services such as order pick up, Drive-Up orders, returns, and cash office processes as needed

- Stay mobile for the duration of a shift
