Overview
The Department of Corrections, Division of Institutions, is recruiting for an Adult Probation Officer 1/2B for the Kenai Probation Office located in Kenai, Alaska.
Responsibilities- Supervise and provide case management for adult male and female offenders.
- Conduct office meetings, interviews, and complete risk/needs assessments, urinalysis tests, field contacts, violation arrests, and offender transport.
- Ensure offender compliance with court or parole board issued conditions.
- Bachelor’s degree in any field or four years of paraprofessional experience in probation, parole, pretrial, criminal justice, juvenile justice, social services, corrections, criminal investigation, public safety, or law enforcement.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to obtain a basic correctional officer certificate within 14 months of hire.
- Impact community by protecting the public through accountability and rehabilitation.
- Cohesive professional team.
- Learning about community resources, case law, and the criminal justice system.
