We are seeking a reliable, safety-focused Journeyman Electrician to support upcoming electrical work in Kenai, Alaska. This role is responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing electrical systems in an industrial construction environment. The project is anticipated to last approximately 60 days, with the opportunity for long-term employment based on performance and workload. Candidates already located in or near Kenai are preferred.

No per diem is offered on this project.

• Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems, equipment, and components in accordance with project drawings, specifications, and applicable codes.
• Read and interpret electrical drawings, schematics, and specifications.
• Perform conduit, cable tray, wire, cable, and equipment installation as assigned.
• Test circuits and equipment and correct deficiencies.
• Follow all company, client, and site safety requirements, including lockout/tagout (LOTO), hazard recognition and safe work practices.
• Maintain a clean, organized work area and properly care for tools and materials.
• Communicate progress, issues, and material needs to the foreman or superintendent.
• Complete required documentation and work records accurately.
• Perform other duties as assigned to support safe and timely project completion.

• Current Alaska Certificate of Fitness (FIT) Journeyman Electrician card, required.
  No exceptions.
• Prior industrial, commercial, or oilfield electrical experience preferred.
• Ability to read electrical prints and work from specifications.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check, and to meet site access requirements.
• Willingness to work the project schedule, including overtime as required.
• Residence in or near Kenai, AK, preferred.

• Working knowledge of the National Electrical Code and safe electrical work practices.
• Ability to use hand and power tools common to the electrical trade.
• Strong attention to safety, quality, and productivity.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a crew.
• Reliable attendance and professional communication with supervision and coworkers.

• Ability to stand, walk, climb, kneel, and work in varied industrial conditions for extended periods.
• Ability to lift and carry materials and tools as required by the work.
• Ability to work at heights and in confined or outdoor conditions as the job requires.
