Job SummaryIndividuals Skill Providers (ISPs) provide direct Therapeutic Behavioral Health Services to assigned un'ina in a variety of settings. ISPs work as part of a pool of staff and may require changes to their assigned un'ina(s) and/or work location. Under supervision of Youth Services Case Managers and direction of the Youth Services Supervisor and Behavioral Health Clinicians, the ISP provides active individual and group interventions to assigned un'ina with a focus on positive behavior support, to assist un'ina in meeting the goals outlined in their behavioral health treatment plan.
Work hours vary depending on location and need; however, ISPs typically have a schedule aligned with school days/times. The ISP must complete daily documentation promptly and ensure it meets regulatory standards and KIT policies. The ISP promotes a safe, positive work environment and maintains good relationships with supervisors, co-workers, collaborating staff, and other agencies within the KIT service system.

QualificationsEducation
:
High School Diploma or GED.
Experience
:
Working with children and/or adolescents.
Preferred
:
Minimum age 18, college courses in related fields, experience with emotionally disturbed youth, cultural competence.
Valid Alaska Driver License with two+ years driving experience and a clean record; must remain insurable or obtain within 90 days of hire.
Special Skills- Understanding of child development and behavior support principles.
- Cross-cultural competence.
- Good communication skills.
- Typing 30 WPM.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to work outdoors, on feet, and perform physical tasks.
This is a Covered Position under ABCA and ICPA regulations and requires compliance at all times.
