They are seeking a Qualified Accountant to oversee financial records for a diverse client portfolio while managing the daily operations of the practice team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct client meetings both virtually and in person.
  • Provide expert tax advice and prepare annual accounts.
  • Review and approve work completed by the accounting team.
  • Handle self-assessment tax returns, HMRC audits, and investigations.
  • Address client concerns and manage complex issues efficiently.
  • Monitor and analyse KPI-related data, attending management meetings as needed.
  • Represent the firm with professionalism, upholding high standards of service.
  • Commit to continuous professional development.
  • Mentor and support staff, fostering future growth within the firm.
Required

Skills & Qualifications
  • ACA, ACCA, or equivalent qualification.
  • Strong proficiency in cloud accounting software (Free Agent, Quick Books, Xero).
  • Proven experience managing a client portfolio and leading a team.
  • Solid knowledge of accounting and taxation, including income tax, corporation tax, VAT, and PAYE.
  • Excellent problem‑solving skills, with a commitment to accuracy and professionalism.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to liaise with senior management.
  • Exceptional time management and ability to meet deadlines.
Desirable Skills
  • Knowledge of capital gains and inheritance tax.
  • Experience handling HMRC audits and investigations.
  • Background in performance management.
