They are seeking a Qualified Accountant to oversee financial records for a diverse client portfolio while managing the daily operations of the practice team.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct client meetings both virtually and in person.
- Provide expert tax advice and prepare annual accounts.
- Review and approve work completed by the accounting team.
- Handle self-assessment tax returns, HMRC audits, and investigations.
- Address client concerns and manage complex issues efficiently.
- Monitor and analyse KPI-related data, attending management meetings as needed.
- Represent the firm with professionalism, upholding high standards of service.
- Commit to continuous professional development.
- Mentor and support staff, fostering future growth within the firm.
Skills & Qualifications
- ACA, ACCA, or equivalent qualification.
- Strong proficiency in cloud accounting software (Free Agent, Quick Books, Xero).
- Proven experience managing a client portfolio and leading a team.
- Solid knowledge of accounting and taxation, including income tax, corporation tax, VAT, and PAYE.
- Excellent problem‑solving skills, with a commitment to accuracy and professionalism.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to liaise with senior management.
- Exceptional time management and ability to meet deadlines.
- Knowledge of capital gains and inheritance tax.
- Experience handling HMRC audits and investigations.
- Background in performance management.
