CPSAssistant Team Manager – Kent View, Kendal
We’re looking to add a CPS Assistant Team Manager located in Kent View, Kendal.
What a typical day looks like:- Support the CPS Team Manager in overseeing the day-to-day operations of the service team, ensuring efficient and high-quality service delivery.
- Monitor team performance against KPIs and SLAs, identifying opportunities for continuous improvement.
- Coordinate engineer schedules, service visits, maintenance activities, and emergency callouts to meet customer requirements.
- Allocate resources effectively and adjust schedules as priorities change.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, ensuring a high level of satisfaction and timely resolution of issues.
- Monitor service quality, review customer feedback, and implement actions to improve the customer experience.
- Support recruitment, onboarding, training, and development activities while helping to build a high-performing team.
- Raise and process purchase orders, manage service documentation, and ensure accurate administrative records.
- Liaise with engineers, subcontractors, suppliers, and customers to ensure smooth service execution.
- Coordinate the procurement of parts, equipment, and materials required for service delivery.
- Process warranty claims in line with manufacturer and supplier requirements.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and health and safety standards.
- Previous experience in a Service Coordinator, Service Administrator, Customer Service, Scheduling, or similar service support role.
- Strong customer service skills with experience handling customer enquiries, resolving issues, and managing stakeholder relationships.
- Experience processing service orders, quotations, purchase orders, and other service-related documentation.
- Excellent organizational, planning, and multitasking skills with the ability to prioritize effectively in a fast‑paced environment.
- Strong administrative skills with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and problem‑solving skills, with the confidence to make decisions and escalated issues when required.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Experience leading, coaching, or developing service, maintenance, or customer support teams would be highly advantageous.
- Knowledge of LV Switchgear or other Critical Power equipment is a plus; however, full training will be provided to the right candidate.
- GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Mathematics.
