Primary - Sen Teaching Assistant

Overview

I am working with a fantastic primary school based in the South Lakes area. The school are looking to appoint a qualified and experienced classroom assistant to join them on a long term supply basis.

The position would primarily be to work with a Year 6 pupil who has had a recent autism diagnosis as well as ongoing mental health issues, although support to the whole class would also be required as the pupil does not need 1-1 all the time. The pupil has SEMH and can present with challenging behaviour.

The working pattern would be:

• Monday 9am-1pm (4 hours)
• Tuesday 9-11.45am + 12.15-3pm (5.5 hours)
• Wednesday 9-11.45am + 12.15-3pm (5.5 hours)
• Thursday 9am-1pm (4 hours)
• Friday 9am-1pm (4 hours)

The role is to start after February half term and will run until the Summer break.

This is a great opportunity to secure a long term role paid to scale as a PAYE candidate.

The ideal candidate must hold a minimum level 2 qualification and have experience of working in Key Stage 2.
