Science Teacher

Salary:
Up to £35,672 per annum DOE

Full Time | 40 hours per week | Monday to Friday
Start Date:
January 2027 or earlier by mutual agreement

We are seeking an enthusiastic and committed Science Teacher to join a specialist education setting supporting young people with Autism and additional learning needs.

This rewarding role offers the opportunity to teach across key stages in a highly supportive environment with small class sizes of up to 3 students
, dedicated learning support, and access to a skilled multi-disciplinary team. The successful candidate will deliver engaging and inspiring Science lessons, develop individualised learning programmes, and help students achieve their full potential academically, socially, and emotionally.

  • Teach Science across a range of key stages.
  • Plan and deliver engaging lessons tailored to individual student needs.
  • Create and implement long and medium-term curriculum plans.
  • Support students with Autism Spectrum Conditions (ASC) in their learning and personal development.
  • Work collaboratively as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
  • Contribute to wider school life, enrichment activities, and outdoor learning opportunities.

We are looking for a passionate teacher who:

  • Has excellent classroom management and organisational skills.
  • Can create a structured, engaging, and inclusive learning environment.
  • Is creative, practical, and adaptable in their approach to teaching.
  • Has experience preparing students for qualifications, including GCSEs.
  • Can manage complex behaviours effectively.
  • Has an interest in SEND and Autism education.
  • Is committed to achieving positive outcomes for all learners.
