Job SummaryWe’re looking to add a Junior IBAR Mechanical Designer based in Kendal, England. You will report to the IBAR Design Manager and work within the IBAR Design team to support the product life cycle from concept to detail design.
Responsibilities- Carry out project design from concept through to detail design, generating Bills of Materials and production drawings.
- Produce manufacturing drawings in line with company and international standards and generate production documentation to improve the production process.
- Assist engineers in completing assembly drawings to project specifications.
- Maintain accurate design records in compliance with the Document Control function (Autodesk Vault).
- Provide technical support to internal and external customers (mechanical engineering, production and site teams).
- Identify, mitigate and resolve risks, opportunities and issues throughout the project lifecycle.
- Participate in team development, goal achievement and continuous improvement activities within Engineering and Production.
- Good understanding of engineering or a related technical discipline.
- Previous exposure to or experience with electrical equipment design preferable.
- Knowledge of Autodesk engineering tools (Inventor, Vault, Revit) advantageous.
- Mechanical design experience preferred.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to travel to other Anord Mardix locations when requested.
