Hours:

Monday - Friday, 9:00am – 5:00pm

D7 Recruitment is working with a leading employer in the leisure and tourism sector to find a dedicated Health, Safety & Compliance Coordinator for their Kendal office. This is a fantastic opportunity for a health and safety professional looking to develop their career within a dynamic and growing business environment.

As part of a collaborative team, you will be working closely with health and safety representatives across the business. This role provides the perfect platform to gain further expertise and progress into a management position.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Health & Safety Policy Support:
    Assist with implementing and improving health and safety policies and procedures across the business.
  • Compliance Monitoring:
    Ensure the business complies with legal and industry standards.
  • Incident Investigation:
    Investigate incidents and near-misses, carry out root cause analysis, and implement preventative measures.
  • Training Delivery:
    Assist with health and safety training and promote a proactive safety culture across the organisation.
  • Legislative Knowledge:
    Stay up to date with relevant legislation and ensure practices are compliant.
  • Collaborative Working:
    Work with various business teams to embed health and safety best practices.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Experience:

    health and safety-related role (preferably within property, retail, caravan parks, or visitor attractions).
  • Qualifications:
  • IOSH Managing Safely certification
  • A full UK driving licence.
  • NEBOSH General Certificate Level 3 (or willingness to pursue this qualification).
  • Strong knowledge of health and safety regulations.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and risk assessment abilities.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Ability to work collaboratively across various teams.

Desirable but not essential:

  • Knowledge of ISO 45001 health and safety management systems.
  • Familiarity with construction and maintenance safety, including CDM 2015.
  • Project/Leadership experience or exposure to safety initiatives.
