Planning Manager – Kendal
Planning Manager is reporting to the Head of Supply Chain and is responsible for the tactical execution of planning and purchasing goals, while leading a professional team.
Job SummaryAs a key player in Anord Mardix, a Flex company, you will drive alignment between customer demand, material availability, and production capacity.
Typical Day / Responsibilities- Develop and maintain demand and supply plans to ensure alignment between customer needs, material availability, and production capacity.
- Drive cost‑efficiency initiatives, focusing on WIP reduction, inventory optimisation, and cash flow improvement.
- Own inventory performance and SIOP/S&OP processes, ensuring accurate data, clear reporting, and achievement of monthly targets.
- Oversee production and procurement planning, including weekly production scheduling and ensuring timely raw‑material availability.
- Monitor delivery performance and supply risks, proactively adjusting plans and leading mitigation strategies for delays or constraints.
- Lead planning excellence across the plant, including capacity planning, master resource planning, safety stock management, and supply execution processes.
- Provide strategic insights to manufacturing leadership, enabling informed decisions on capacity, cost optimisation, and long‑term operational performance.
- Lead and develop the planning team, fostering strong cross‑functional collaboration with Operations, Engineering, Project Management, and driving continuous improvement initiatives.
- Extensive experience (10+ years) across diverse supply‑chain roles, providing a well‑rounded operational and strategic perspective.
- Degree in Business, Supply Chain, Procurement, or an equivalent combination of education and practical experience.
- Working towards or holding a professional certification in supply chain or procurement (e.g., CIPS, APICS).
- Strong knowledge of ERP/MRP systems such as SAP, Oracle, or equivalent, with hands‑on experience in planning environments.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
365, with the ability to effectively manage data, reporting, and analysis. - Solid understanding of end‑to‑end supply‑chain processes, including planning, procurement, and inventory management.
