We are currently recruiting for a professional and reliable Cleaning Operative to work within a secure banking environment in Kendal. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced cleaner seeking part‑time work with the opportunity to secure permanent employment.

• Carrying out general office and banking environment cleaning duties
• Vacuuming, mopping, dusting and polishing
• Cleaning washrooms and staff welfare facilities
• Emptying waste and recycling bins
• Sanitising high‑touch surfaces
• Maintaining exceptional standards of cleanliness and hygiene
• Following all health & safety procedures and site security protocols
• Opening, securing and locking premises where required
• Working independently within a secure environment

• Previous commercial cleaning experience preferred
• Ability to work confidently as a lone worker
• Comfortable acting as a key holder and operating alarm systems
• Excellent attention to detail and reliability
• Professional appearance and conduct
• Ability to use a telephone‑based time and attendance system

Due to the nature of this role within a banking environment, successful applicants will be required to complete the following checks prior to commencing employment:

• Basic DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) check
• Right to Work verification
• employment history verification
• Five‑year employment history review, including explanation of any employment gaps
• Identity verification checks
• Address history verification
• Character and reference checks where applicable
• Completion of all client‑specific security and compliance documentation
• Successful completion of site induction and security procedures
