Job overview

A development opportunity for a 2.0 WTE, 6‑month secondment within the Community, Cancer, Diagnostics and End of Life Division, supporting two directorates – Directorate 2 (Urgent Community Response, Virtual Wards, Integrated Wellness Service, Integrated Care Communities, Outpatient Physiotherapy, Occupational Therapy, Dietetics, Orthotics and Integrated Musculoskeletal Service).

Detailed job description and main responsibilities

You will be at the heart of driving change, developing business cases, leading projects, and ensuring services are efficient, effective and focused on the best patient outcomes.

You will act as a visible and approachable leader, supporting teams to grow, shaping annual plans, managing resources, championing new ways of working, analysing performance, managing budgets and representing the service at key meetings.

Person specification
  • Education to degree level in a relevant field, or equivalent experience
  • Continuing professional development maintained
  • Considerable management experience in a large, diverse, complex organisation (staff, budget and service management)
  • Highly developed written and oral communication skills in a variety of settings
  • Ability to lead a multidisciplinary team of staff
