We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Medical Rostering Project Manager to lead the implementation of the Trust's Medical e-Rostering Programme. This newly established role has been created to support the delivery of a key workforce transformation project, approved through the Trust's governance process, aimed at improving medical workforce planning, rostering compliance, operational efficiency and staff experience.
The postholder will be responsible for managing the successful implementation of a Trust-wide medical e-rostering solution, working closely with clinical, operational and corporate teams to ensure the system is embedded effectively across services. The role will coordinate project planning, stakeholder engagement, data migration, system configuration, training and benefits realisation throughout the project lifecycle.
Working as part of the Medical Workforce team, the Project Manager will play a key role in supporting the onboarding of approximately 900 medical staff onto the new platform and ensuring delivery against agreed project milestones.

Main duties of the jobAs our Medical Rostering Project Manager, you will:
- Lead the implementation, optimisation and continuous development of medical rostering and workforce deployment systems across the Trust.
- Drive the full utilisation of digital workforce solutions, including the Loop application and associated e-rostering technologies.
- Manage workforce transformation projects that improve productivity, patient safety, staff experience and operational effectiveness.
- Provide expert advice on workforce planning, roster governance and medical workforce deployment to senior stakeholders across the organisation.
- Analyse complex workforce data and produce meaningful reports to support informed decision-making and service improvement.
- Lead system upgrades, developments and quality assurance processes, ensuring benefits are realised and embedded into operational practice.
- Build strong collaborative relationships with clinicians, managers, workforce teams, finance colleagues and external system providers. Develop and deliver training, guidance and support for managers and system users, helping to improve roster quality and workforce planning capability.
- Ensure workforce systems and processes remain compliant with national NHS standards, guidance and Trust objectives.
- Champion innovation and continuous improvement, identifying opportunities to enhance workforce utilisation and support organisational priorities
We operate from three main hospitals-Furness General Hospital (FGH) in Barrow, the Royal Lancaster Infirmary (RLI), and Westmorland General Hospital (WGH) in Kendal, as well as a number of community healthcare premises including Millom Hospital and GP Practice, Queen Victoria Hospital in Morecambe, andUlverston
Community Health Centre.
FGH and the RLI have a range of General Hospital services, with full Emergency Departments, Critical/Coronary Care units and various Consultant-led services.
WGH provides a range of General Hospital services, together with an Urgent Treatment Centre, that can help with a range of non-life threatening conditions such as broken bones and minor illnesses.
