Job Overview

£30,849 - £33,896 assuming good attendance.

Hours:

Waking nights (4 on / 4 off). Your role as a night support worker will involve being there for the highs and lows of the young people in our care, providing immediate support during the night and ensuring a safe, nurturing environment for them to rest and recover.

Responsibilities
  • Respond promptly when a young person wakes up in the middle of the night with trauma, illness, or other needs.
  • Build rapport and be a trusted figure of support during times of distress.
  • Manage the home: complete paperwork, conduct cleaning, and handle laundry duties.
  • Monitor safety and well‑being of all residents throughout the shift.
  • Support residents in developing positive routines and a sense of comfort.
Qualities & Qualifications
  • A ‘can do’ attitude – a team player who rolls up their sleeves to help others.
  • Genuine empathy, honesty, and a caring attitude towards young people and colleagues.
  • Resilience to handle challenging situations.
  • A full UK driving licence held for at least 12 months.
  • Level3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or equivalent) is not required – training will be provided if you do not already hold it.
