Position Overview
  • Deliver and help plan instruction using approved curriculum, high-impact instructional strategies, subject matter expertise, and current data to meet the needs of all students
  • Establish clear expectations, routines, and procedures to foster a respectful, safe, and student-centered learning environment
  • Engage students through a variety of instructional approaches that address diverse learning styles and goals
  • Set ambitious goals; gather, analyze, and use data to measure progress, guide instruction, and provide timely feedback to students, families, and stakeholders
  • Collaborate with colleagues to support overall school and district effectiveness
  • Engage in ongoing professional reflection and growth to enhance instructional practice and student learning outcomes
Qualifications
  • At least 2 years of relevant teaching experience preferred
  • Appropriate Maine DOE certification (or eligibility for certification)
  • U.S. citizenship, residency, or valid work visa required

Anticipated Class Load:

  • Introduction to Psychology
  • SMCC Introduction to Psychology (Dual Enrollment Course)

Terms of Employment:

Compensation and work year are established by the Board in accordance with the collective bargaining agreement.
