Skilled Laborer - Primoris Heavy Civil - Lockport, LA

** Job Summary    Primoris Heavy Civil is seeking a skilled laborer for our Lockport, LA operations. This role involves performing a variety of physical tasks to support heavy civil construction projects, ensuring safety and efficiency on the job site.

Job Responsibilities
Assist in the preparation and cleanup of construction sites, including clearing debris, loading and unloading materials, and maintaining tools and equipment.
Operate a variety of hand and power tools safely and effectively, such as shovels, rakes, picks, jackhammers, saws, and compactors.
Dig trenches, backfill excavations, and compact earth to grade specifications.
Assist in the assembly and disassembly of temporary structures, scaffolding, and shoring.
Perform basic carpentry, concrete work, and masonry tasks as directed.
Follow all safety regulations, company policies, and procedures.
Work collaboratively with other team members, supervisors, and subcontractors.
Perform flagging duties to control traffic flow around construction zones.
Assist with the installation of pipes, utilities, and other infrastructure components.
Report any unsafe conditions or incidents to a supervisor immediately.
Job Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in heavy civil construction or a related field.
Ability to lift and carry heavy objects (up to 50 pounds) regularly and perform strenuous physical tasks for extended periods.
Proficiency in operating various hand and power tools common to construction.
Knowledge of basic construction safety practices and procedures.
Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
Strong work ethic, reliability, and punctuality.
Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
Must possess a valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
OSHA 10 or 30 certification is a plus.
