High School Special Education Teacher at Discovery Health Sciences Schools
Position available now. Seeking a candidate with a Bachelor's or Master’s degree and certification in Special Education.
Responsibilities- Teach special education students in a high school setting.
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) and accommodations.
- Apply differentiated instruction, curriculum modification, and assessment strategies.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and school leaders to advocate for students.
- Upload IEPs to the SER website and maintain compliance with state/district regulations.
- 3+ years of experience teaching special education in a school setting.
- Strong knowledge of mathematical concepts and Louisiana State Standards.
- Proficiency in MTSS, BIP, and current legal policy regarding special education.
- Experience with IEP development and implementation.
- Familiarity with state/district compliance and use of the SER website.
- Certification or interest in achieving certification in multiple areas is a plus.
