Mental Health Technician; DAY SHIFT

We are seeking individuals who are committed to improving the lives of those who experience mental health problems. • Provide positive example and role modeling to residents; model and teach appropriate life skills.
• Conduct direct observation rounds during assigned shift and document patient behavior.
• Promote daily living skills through assignment and supervision of tasks.
• Conduct individual and group activities and programs.
• Orient patients to the unit and assist them with the discharge process.
• Assist with verbal de‑escalation when a resident is agitated.
• Accompany patients to unit, mealtime, outdoor/indoor recreation, and education activities.
• Provide a safe, clean, and therapeutic environment.

• Education:
  
  High School Degree or equivalent required.
• Experience:
  
  At least one (1) year of related experience in a hospital setting with psychiatric experience preferred.
• Additional Requirements:
  
  Able to successfully complete CPR and Crisis Prevention Intervention Training during New Hire Orientation.
• Schedule:
  
  Full‑time Day Shift (06:45‑19:15).
