POSITION SUMMARY:
The Division Manager is responsible for supporting accounting and operational procedures within a single division. This role oversees revenue growth, staff development, and acts as the final managerial authority at the division level. The manager will liaise with internal teams and external clients, including municipal staff and businesses. Working with the Regional Vice President, the manager will develop budgets and set annual objectives, aiming to meet division, regional, and corporate goals.

Any issues should be escalated to the Regional Vice President.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Support all accounting functions, including fiduciary duties, purchasing, budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning.
  • Handle client support matters effectively.
  • Meet regularly with the Regional Vice President to discuss operations and issues.
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with managers, drivers, helpers, mechanics, and office staff, as well as other departments.
  • Mentor and develop staff, overseeing department managers to ensure policy compliance.
  • Oversee recruitment efforts for all personnel, coordinating with HR for training and policy adherence.
  • Develop budgets and analyze monthly needs and annual projections.
  • Create and implement cost-saving initiatives.
  • Assist in setting and achieving annual goals and initiatives.
  • Identify and execute process and control improvements.
  • Lead special projects and initiatives.
  • Maintain relationships with municipal staff and foster new connections for growth.
  • OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Participate in company-sponsored training courses as required.
    • Stay updated on relevant technology used by Waste Pro USA.
    • Perform additional duties as assigned by the Regional Vice President.

    WORK ENVIRONMENT:
    Primarily office and community settings. This high-visibility role requires a professional yet casual appearance.

    QUALIFICATIONS:

    • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience;
      Master's preferred.
    • Minimum of 5 years management or supervisory experience; waste industry experience preferred.
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Word.
    • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
    • Strong leadership abilities and team-building skills.
    • Valid driver's license required; CDL and DOT Medical Card preferred.
